One of my favorite things about the world of makeup is how there's virtually no limit to how creative we can get!

From bold and vibrant colors to eccentric applications and unconventional techniques, avant garde makeup is like a fun fantasy world just waiting to be explored.
How cool are some of these makeup looks? 100% over the top and 100% amazing.

It's so fun to take a risk when it comes to your makeup routine and dare to be different!
How insanely bold and oh-so-chic would it be to rock this multicolored eye for a night out? Keep lips to a minimum and let your eyes be the star of the show.
In your face hues of magenta, sunflower and turquoise - fueled by some black liner - are perfect for these warm summer months.
Add on some faux lashes for a truly look-at-me eye!
Try Wish You Were Here or Rock Anthem with Butterfly Kisses and Dreaming Dandy!

Would any of you ever try feather eyelashes?

I loved it when Beyonce rocked her leopard print eye makeup.
So Sasha Fierce!
Another really dramatic look is green lids.
A bold way to accentuate green eyes, picking a green eye shadow is like taking a trip to the Emerald City :)
For green shadows that range from olive to emerald, check out I'm Keeping Your CD's, Leaps and Bounds, and Cypress.

Sporting black lips are definitely another avant garde way to get noticed!
Leighton Meester is completely owning the attitude necessary for this look, don't you think?
While black lips are super edgy in editorial photo shoots and on the runway, I'm not too sure how they would translate into the real world ;)
Have any of you tried black lips in everyday life? Share your story with us!
Purple and yellow are two colors that are perfect for obtaining the avant garde look.

Kim Kardashian tried purple lids and bubblegum cheeks recently - so fun!
I created the bold shades of Sunflowers, Twilight Kiss, and Monsoon while envisioning my Everyday Minerals ladies using them to create crazy cool makeup looks!

FUN TASK:
What's the craziest makeup look you've ever tried out? Would you ever dare to try something as wild as black lips or yellow eyes? Post a picture of your wildest makeup if possible!
I'm going to pick some of the boldest and most inventive makeup looks and send Twilight Kiss, Leaps and Bounds, Rock Anthem, and Butterfly Kisses!

Here I am in full make-up and costume against the green screen. It took abit over 2 hours to get made-up and suited up and I need 2 people to help me when I had to use the washroom. Good thing I only needed to be there for 2 days of shooting!
The headdress / wig combo was really heavy and uncomfortable so I was able to do some real method acting. ha ha

One crazy look I wore to a New years party was a Solid Silver eye!
Quite similar to this
I kept everything else really simple but also wore Sparkle Beige Lucent face powder applied pretty heavy to make me really pop!
My dress was metallic silver.
It was a fun way to ring in the new year

I actually used all Everyday Mineral Products to get a look very similar to this
The Bollywood Collection shades were perfect for this, I also added a little bit of weeping willow in the outer corner and 3day weekend on the inner corner to add a little extra dimension

Here is one of my recent looks:
Weird, I know, but I like to experiment a lot!
Another one was for a contest:
And again for a contest:
...but I usually wear very similar makeup looks to go out... well, not to go to the supermarket but for gothic club nights!

Heads definitely turned when I walked out of the house. My friends also had very avant garde looking costumes. It felt like we were in a costume parade!
I would love to create a runway-inspired look and actually walk out of the house with it. Maybe to a party or a girl's night out. I would really love to try looks like these:

Few days ago I just tried yellow eye makeup with Butterfly Kisses and Leaps and Bounds. However I found that Leaps and Bounds didn't really stand out, guess I didn't apply enough eyeshadow.
As for black lips, it will be perfect for Halloween party - guess I can try it this year if I can find the colour.

My interpretation:
and here's the photo I was copying from:

i have a friend who really likes being creative with makeup, she wanted to do my makeup for a fancy dress party.
i am glad i let her because created such a vibrant and beautiful eyemakeup.
It was butterfly makeup, where each eye had one section of the butterfly, she used really bold colors including yellow, purple, orange, and blue.
it is smilar to this, but even more dramatic:
to make it even more wonderful she used little crystals for the detail, and made it even more dramatic.
it was like cat woman mask but a butterfly mask.
i also once let my little niece to do my makeup, she used her own makeup, she so proud of it, its funny seeing her carrying around her makeup bag.
she did go a little crazy, put whole lot of color, blush everywhere, bright pink lipstick on the lips and around it, lots of eye colors, it was hilarous, because she kept asking if i liked it, of course, i told her she did the best makeup.

I have a bit of a chubbier face so i always seem to put a little pop of color here and there, being a college student i dont really have the time to do peacocks and vines, lol, but i always try to use Rainbow colors it as just as much as a pigmented form theyll come in! Its definatly more important in "crazy styles" to focus on color and not shimmer...
I always have some crazy color form on the outside lid area of my eyes, with a blended brown on top to even it all out...
But one day when im something big and important in makeup, as i hope to be, ill definatly have to try some of those looks!

I used only Everyday Minerals products. The green skin was the pearl mint concealor and the mint color corrector concealor. It turned out really cool!!

I'm more inspired by things and not makeup that's already been done. That and images I see in my head to complete an ensemble or look for a themed event. If ever I get a spark of inspiration from a photo I always do my own spin off.
Yes those are real flower petals. And, yes those are real cards as well.
Hope you enjoy

I like also a deep blue look:
