I would have to say, however, that my absolute favorite EM product is the flat top brush. I've NEVER found a brush that's softer or more efficient in applying mineral foundation. It's like a magic wand! The brush is particularly special to me because it's what got my mom hooked on EM too. I brought it home from college one weekend and showed her- she felt the bristles and ordered one for herself that same day! Now that's she's also an EM fan, we can share fun makeup with each other.
So thanks to the flat top brush (and all everyday minerals products) for making makeup easy and fun, and also for giving me a mother-daughter bonding experience!

My favorite long time EDM product is Natural Reflections Light. Although it is not a new product, I only started to use it regularly this year and it gives me a soft finished look daily.
My favorite old product with a twist is nutmeg eyeshadow in a rollerball. The application is easier than expected, and the color just blends beautifully.
My favorite new product for this year is High Tea Traders lip balm. This is not something that I would usually purchase, so I am glad to have the chance to try it. I usually prefer unscented plain lip balms, but this has a pleasant scent that just brings a smile to my lips whenever I apply it.
One of the new colors that appeal to me is French Films. Just 2 words needed to explain this: Pink Sparkles.
There are also some products that I have not yet try, but I think will become favorites. Such as the Miss Me EverydayMinerals.
And the Eco Botan Artisan Kabuki Brush

I have 2 everyday minerals favs this year (well loads actually having only discovered the products earlier this year but hey)
One of my big favs is finding the perfect base combination for me and getting the perfect application with the fab brushes!!! This was helped by being able to order the free sample shades and getting advice from the everyday minerals team (such a quick response to emails as I live in the uk this is fab).
A fav colour of mine is snowflakes which I only got recently but looks fab on. The new lippie in the em world tour kit photo pop is amazing - more like this please.
I also want to say that I use no other makeup now (expect for mascara) and I have never loved makeup sssssssssoooooo much. The new website/offers has been brilliant and I love all the offers each week. I must say though that I have driven my husband mad talking about this kit and that offer and saying "oh look at this" lol.
I am about to order myself the snow angel kit for xmas and no doubt a few extras will be added to the cart lol.
Thanks for creating such fab makeup and for the brill customer service!!!! I could just talk about your makeup forever.
MARIE x x x
(P.S. can you guess what all my friend are getting for xmas LOL)

Wow. This has been such an exciting year for Everyday Minerals--with its expansion in the market place as well as its expansion into so many new products. It is going to be tough for me to choose a favorite product, as I use and enjoy so many EM products on a daily basis. In any case, I am happy to reflect back on this past year with EM.
First off, I have to say that probably my favorite product of all time is my EM LH Kabuki. No matter what colors I choose to wear (and I really love mixing it up), everyday I always reach for my long-handled Kabuki. [I know, I'm just spoiled rotten--
] But the LHK has been around for years now, so on to my reflection of the products I've acquired anew in 2010 and have fallen in love with.
I have really enjoyed the many kits that came out this year, but my favorites were the Cascading Metallics and the Utopia Blooms eye shadow collections that came out around the spring of this year. Over the years, I have acquired many EM colors and these kits were a great way to add to my collection as well as pick up some back ups of many of my favorites. I also loved the eye brushes that came with these kits. I've decided that one can never have enough of EM's dreamily-soft makeup brushes.
Along with these eye shadow kits came two unexpected surprises for me. One of these surprises was an actual gift that was included with my purchase--Tide is High eye shadow. I loooooooooooove this color. [Of course it made the Year in Review Kit!
] I have many shades of blue and green, but I love the combination of the two colors in this one teal-colored eye shadow. It has become one of my favorites. The other surprise was a blue eye shadow that came out as part of the denim collection of new blue eye colors. Marvel Denim Universe was included in my Utopia Blooms Kit and I wasn't expecting it to be one that would catch my eye, but when I finally got around to trying it out on my eyes -- WOW! I don't know a more accurate way to describe the impact that it gave to my lovely eyes. Thanks again, Carina.
These past several months have been even more exciting with new colors, products, and kits coming out every week. [Carina, you sure know how to keep us tuned in.
] Three new 2010 EM colors that have become part of my growing collection of favorites are the eye shadows Volcano Blossom, Passion Passport, and Ado to You. I love the uniqueness and the vibrance of these new colors. Volcano Blossom is described on the site as "a deep black with a brilliant infusion of rich gold shimmer." I describe it as "pure gorgeousness." These colors are beautiful when applied dry and even more spectacular when foiled.
I also have been enjoying very much the The Austin Collection. I knew I would love the Live Austin Live eye shadow and the cool SoCo blush, but Like Lady Bird Lake blush turned out to be the best surprise for me in this collection. The site photo does not do it justice. It is such a beautiful, almost indescribable, and unique color that I'm sure would literally look lovely on every shade and depth of skin tone.

Da, da, da, da! Now for my absolute favorite EM product of 2010. Carina, you caught us (at least me) totally off guard with this one: The new travel size rollerballs! I did not see them coming, but I am so glad that they are here.
At first, I honestly have to admit, I wasn't sure if they would perform as desired. The idea is fantastic from the get go, but getting a design that actually works is another story. Initially, I held off purchasing the new rollerballs because I did not know the dimensions of the bottle and applicator and I had my doubts.
Of course, I couldn't resist for long and I am so glad that I have given them a go. To my delight, not only do they roll effortlessly across my lids, but also the distribution of the color is to my optimum liking. It has been on my mind to write a kudos letter regarding the new rollerballs because I have been very pleased with the performance of them.
Some might take it for granted, but to work properly a lot more had to be considered than just how nicely they would fit in a pocket or purse. Since the bottle is also the applicator, it has to be the perfect size to hold comfortably in the hand and still allow visibility to the eye area for application. The rollerball also has to be the right size to effectively cover the average eye lid area, Too small and it would be a hassle; too large and it would create a mess outside the lid area. The circumference of the applicator bottle neck also can't be too wide or it would hit the sides of the bridge of the nose and interfere with controlled application. Then there's the rollerball itself. Would it actually roll smoothly or would the minerals clog up and create grit between the ball and the bottle? Would the distribution of the minerals be even and adequate?
When I look at my seedling collection of new rollerballs, I consider the thought, time, and effort that went into designing such a quality product--the applicators themselves and the beautiful minerals that fill them. Thanks again, Carina, for my favorite product of 2010!

The hit list of my top three cheek products:
3) Theme Park blush
I pull Theme Park out anytime I'm going out at night and want a beautiful, shimmery coral pink. It's the perfect complement to any dark eye look, and gives me an amazing glow in photos. I always get compliments on this when I wear it, and it makes me feel like a sparkly princess!
2) Summer Stroll blush
I have to admit that when I first saw this blush, I thought that it looked like Macaroni and Cheese; I was pretty intimidated by it! I thought that I'd hate it because the first time I applied it I applied it with a heavy hand as I had had to do with other poorly pigmented blushes that were full of talc and filler. It was only after a few times of using it that I got used to just barely tapping my brush into the product. The result was a gorgeous, sunkissed glow that looks amazing with bronzed summer skin. I just love how a tap of this on each cheek gives so much life and colour to my skin without looking unnatural or fake because of the pearly sheen. I've had my Summer Stroll blush for almost three years, and it still looks brand new because I need so very little of it!
1) Apple blush
Apple has been my favourite blush ever since I first started using Everyday Minerals. It's a lovely matte red that I can always rely on when I'm not sure what blush to wear. I especially love to apply a touch more during the winter months to perk up my skin and to give me a gorgeous flushed face that looks like I just came in from the cold. Best of all, Apple has stood the test of cold, snowy Canadian winters! I've had times where my face is whipped by the wind, snow, and freezing rain and Apple still looks amazing until I take it off at night. Please don't ever discontinue it!
Love,
Leanne

This year was a life changing year for me: I turned 21, and was introduced to the makeup world! (It was a self-introduction, but quite successful I think
) It all started when my skin began to have some minor problems due to stress and fatigue induced by college life. I searched for 3 weeks for an affordable, all natural makeup brand that was chemical free, paraben free. After reading endless reviews on health related websites, while being scared out of my wits from reading about all the chemicals makeup brings in the meantime, I decided to try out EM. I was scared to even create an account, and checked out as a guest user, as I was afraid I wouldn't like EM. The product that I tried? The Intensive Medium Concealer.
When I got my package, I wasn't all too excited. "It's just makeup", I thought, gently tearing the paper. However, one application of concealer on my skin made me grin. I did not know makeup could be so smooth, blend so well, and hide my imperfections so perfectly. I looked like I was wearing my own skin...if that's possible. I kept trying the concealer all over my face...that day, I looked like a powderface, but still grinning!
I liked the concealer so much, I even studded it with rhinestones:
(Apologies for the bad lighting, it has been gray all day and snowing like crazy here)
It is truly my favorite product, because it did what I needed makeup to do the most: conceal my redness and blemishes.
That was 4 months ago, during mid-August when I made my first purchase. Why do I call it "the product that started it all?" Because this happened:
Unfortunately, I could only take home 2/3 of my EM collection, because I cannot possible carry with me all of the colors! It was so difficult deciding which colors to take home for the holidays, and which colors to leave behind; I kept taking out and putting back colors in my makeup bag. I recently purchased some travel sizes, and they truly are so easy to carry around without mess: those are the ones I leave in my purse (which shakes around quite a lot due to the traveling). However, for all of the other products, here's a little tip:
Remember all of that nice crinkly brown paper your EM packages come in? Make sure to keep it all! Cut the paper into smaller pieces, make them into medium sized balls, and use that to stuff any loose space in your makeup bag. That ways, unless your bag flips around numerous times, your loose minerals will stay under the sifter! It's worked for me very well, even after walking 2 miles to the train station!
This was such a great year, made in part by discovering Everyday Minerals, which allows me to put my best, freshest face forward as I near graduation. I have discovered a new artist in me, and a new love for makeup which was so foreign to me prior to August. Makeup allows me to worry less about my complexion, and spend that time on things I love doing most. I love all of my products, and am especially grateful to have found the Intensive Medium Concealer

Where?
I received it, did that thing with my mouth, that thing sort of like~ooooooo, don't think so. Shook my head no, and set it in the back of my make up trunk.
Days later, on a weekend when I had no plans to go anywhere, thought I'd try it. I was safe at home, no one would see. My husband doesn't count.
I'm in love. This shade is me. It's mine. What I thought would make me look like a clown, made me glow. Made me stand out in the crowd and that is in a good way.
Went to the grocery store, and got noticed. You know what I mean.
Maybe, just maybe it was the way I held my head, walked with a bit more confidence, or looked everyone directly in the eye instead of ignoring all signs of life around me, while searching for chicken broth.
Maybe it was my blush.
It was the blush that made me all the above.
I'll use my other blushes...I mean, I have half that trunk filled with your blushes....but I don't wanna. I want my New Mom.
You should see me with it on.

In the last few months, I have evolved from a complete and utter makeup newb to something much more sophisticated, confident, and sultry than I thought possible. I never used to care what I looked like when I left the house, but now I know that taking a few extra minutes (or a lot of extra minutes for something special!) and even just the faintest application of a choice color or two can improve one's confidence and mood by leaps and bounds.
Experimenting with color combinations and teaching myself to apply make-up makes me feel GREAT about myself. It's a ton of fun, and I never would have dreamed I'd enjoy something like this at this time last year.
If I had to pick a single EM product that would be my favorite of this year, it would have to be the reissue of Pots and Pans. I use it as my daily highlighter, and it works wonders with my naturally rosy-undertone skin. I get dark circles under my eyes sometimes and suffer from puffy, sleepy eyelids, and if I apply a little sunshine color corrector to the bottom and Pots and Pans on top, it makes my eyes look INSTANTLY awake. When I'm going out with friends, they always ask to borrow my Pots and Pans before we go because they say my eyes just look more vibrant and alive than theirs do.
2010 was a great year in make-up for me, and I can't wait to try on 2011 as well.

1) the new Tapered Sculpting Face brush. I use this brush not only for contouring and sculpting, but also for applying blush. Using this I can build up the color until the desired intensity and I can apply easily strong colored blushes. Versatile and multi-functional. I use it everyday to apply my favorite blush, Wild Vines.
2) the Mint color corrector. I add this corrector to a portion of my daily face cream and I apply the mixed cream on my cheeks to neutralizes redness due to a light couperose and it works very well.
3) this year I’m obsessed by colors, especially blue and green. My favorite blue is Marvel Denim Universe (I apply it on the lid), but I like very much also Bubble Tea, Free Wheelin’ Denim and Vintage Denim. My favorite green is Pinch Me. My absolute favorite color is Wish You Were Here. Very special and unique. It looks halfway between red and fuchsia.

Eyes:
The Cocoa Road. Warm-toned browns are among my favorites, and this orange-undertoned sparkly brown really fits the bill!
Honorable mention: That's Super Keen. I love turquoise!
The One That Got Away: 12:01 AM, reissue (but new to me since I was new to EM). Unfortunately I didn't get around to ordering this metallic gold shade before it was gone. I'm sure it would have become one of my staples. Kicking myself! and hoping for another reissue!
Blush:
Like Lady Bird Lake. This gorgeous shade surpassed my expectations! Kind of a peachy coral pink with shimmers, but somehow more than just the sum of its parts. In addition to using it as blush, I also love this one on the outer third of the eyelid, with Sand Cherry on the inner 2/3, and Once and Again in the crease - makes for eyes that look like a sunset!
Honorable mention: Raw Sugar. Brown with golden sparkles, yes please!
Lips:
Bohemian Wonderer. Hands down, my favorite! I just love this shade. Peachy lip colors are great.
Honorable mention: The new lip balms. Really high quality moisturizing lip balms!
Face:
Bamboo Yellow powder. As someone who just finally figured out recently that my undertone is mainly yellow/golden (thank goodness for samples! I've been through several foundation shades shades thinking "ah this is my shade" only to decide a few days or weeks later that no, this other shade looks better! lol! it's been a fun process though!), this powder is wonderful for that finishing touch and to tone down any excess redness.
And then there are still other EM products from this year that I don't have yet, but would love to get my hands on! They might have to be added to this list of favorites once I've tried them...
Such as: the new Eco Botan brush, the Itahake brush, Ado to You, Interpersonal Attraction, Jewel Box, Lover's Lane... Here's to more beautiful new EM creations to come in 2011!
written by CHaak9603, December 14, 2010
And even though they aren't from this year, my two favorite eye shadows are Junpier and Tinsel Time. I take turns wearing those in the week! They are neutral yet SO gorgeous on! I am usually in a hurry for work, so I like to quickly apply either one of those to look still put together for the day. My new favorite combo is to take Tinsel Time on the lid during the day, but for the evening, apply Smokey to my crease and line my lower lashes. It looks SO pretty! A perfect smokey eye! I love it.
Really, there isn't a thing from Everyday Minerals that I don't love! Those three items are just the ones that I over use on daily basis!
I love the new roller concealor I have! It keeps me looking my best where ever I go! The innovation and creativity that is shown Everyday Minerals is so exciting, I can't help but be excited for what else is coming next! I wish I had more money to just buy and buy and buy! Makeup turned into a hobby for me, which I never expected to happen! But I am so glad it did. @cristie j - you should post a picture!!!! I know exactly what you mean! Apple and Sand Cherry are two of my favorite blushes that I know are just perfect for me!!! Apple is a pretty common one that I've heard people rave about! It just adds that pefect flushed look! (I guess that makes 4 items that I over use daily haha!) But you have inspired me to try New Mom, as I thought the same as you, that it would be too dark...maybe just maybe it will work for me too?
@Valentina2011 - I love your Face compact :-) It's so cute!!!
Thank you so much Carina for creating a company that I've now fallen in love with!!!
written by ariix, December 16, 2010
Also, I forgot a category in my post - my fave new brush (of the ones I own!) is the tapered sculpting face brush! I love it for contouring, all over powdering, and it's great for applying foundation over top of under-eye concealer. But like I mentioned, I don't have the Eco Botan or Itahake yet, so I'll have to wait to decide which one is my very favourite!

You have such an innovative company because you are always bringing new products (brushes, bamboo foundation), various kits, reguarly updating on the website.
i love that colorful, fun nature of this site, the cute little pics, the excellent fanclub which is both informative and fun. i enjoy the eotds, the various blogs are a splendid to read, there is so much going on, its amazing how hard everyone is working.
I adore all my everyday minerals products because individually they all do such a splendid jpb.
if i had to mention an item i would say edms large mineral brush.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS BRUSH:
- it has a lovely long handle and a very large head which makes applying foundation and finishing powder an absolute breeze to apply.
- it is silky soft like all the other edm brushes, its makes buffing a simple job.
i think it looks fantastic because it is so big when sitting with the other brushes.
i give the edm large mineral brush
rating, its an exceptional brush. The surprise edm product has to be ms. coffee eyeliner.
I usually use black eyeliner, i was in a hurry and couldnt find my smokey eyeliner, that is when a grabbed this little pot of magic, when i used it i couldnt believe how fantastic it worked, its a beautful dark brown eyeliner, and it makes your eyes pop, like character from the manga cartoons.
it works just a beauifully when applied wet, it is simple to apply, i also works wonderfully on the crease for smokey eyes.
A quick mention of the tapered sculpting brush, its multi functional, which makes it a must ave addition to your brush collection.
- it works for lucents, foundation, highlighting, blush, multi-tasking brush
- easy blending
- really soft, does an excellent job of blending.
the new roller ball eyeshadows, cute packaging, so simple to apply, not mess in the makeup bag,
you can see how difficult it is to choose a product because they are all wonderful, that is why i wanted to say
written by Rositolina!, December 18, 2010
I can't stop to say THANK YOU for all the innovative products, for the professional way to work, for caring so much for your clients, for the love you have in creating such wonderful shades.
And, last but not least, for your PHILOSOPY and for all you've done to help and take part in so much charity Initiatives.
"Cruelty Free, Vegan products, fresh cosmetics, handmade products, free of carmine, dimethicone, fragrance, animal by products, bismuth oxychloride, silicone.."
Thanks to you I've discovered the pleasure of Natural Products, with a best quality!
How can I choose only ONE product? You're asking me something almost impossible with all the new entries on the website!
So, thinking back on 2010 I'm surely very thankful for the new Bamboo Brushes and Powders!
I love Bamboo, I was so surprised to see Bamboo Make up! And after tried it I was so satisfied from the results!
Your Brushes are my favourite ones, so I love when You improve the range of brushes, just because I use only EDM brushes!
I was so pleasently surprised from the Itahake Brush, that is perfect for the application of mineral foundation and bronzer!
And the Large Mineral Brush is so big and soft, and luxorious, that I would take it sleep with me!
But among all, My special mention is for your extraordinary LIPPIES.
I have always suffered so much for my dry lips. It has always been so difficult for me to find a lipstick that was enough moisturizing and wouldn't dry after few minutes on my lips creating a sort of film on the lips.
The first EDM Lippie I received was "Super Smoocher" that is a lovely deep wine shade.
I was worried about it because I didn't wear dark lipstick before.
And Right Now is my favourite Lippie instead! And I wanna tell you why!
First of all, EDM Lippies consistance is so similar to a lip balm! They'r soft, very moisturizing, also after hours.
My lips are smooth and pigmented without any kind of base!
Second, this colour is the perfect shade for the autumn/winter season. With my pale skin I realized It was so chic, so feminine. I can't stop to use it!
I have bought lots of EDM Lippies, almost all, because the range of colour is so beautiful, so perfect for me (Lots of beautiful Pink and Nude shades for example).
I'm truly in Love with them and Thanks to this special lip conditioning formula my lips Love to wear lipstick too!
Please improve the range of lipstick because they're Fantastic!
So, what can I tell you?! Thanks for this wonderful 2010 and thanks for all you've done and will continue do for me and lots of happy clients!
xoxo

I think the roller ball eyeshadows are fun to use, the mineral comes out easily when you glide, really gentle on the eyelids, it is so easy to apply, and it does not leave any mess in the makeup bag, everyone i have shown them to, have been commenting on adorable packaging, and cant believe how simple they are to use.

1. Hot Chocolate eye shadow
This is my all over eye color.
2. In The Garden eye shadow
I use this color in the crease. (This is probably my most favorite product of all!)
3. Smokey eyeliner
An absolutely fabulous eyeliner!
There are many other products that I love, such as Cookie Sheet blush, but you can't go wrong with the combination mentioned above. It's a great look for day or evening!
Thanks!

Just wanted to post a big thankyou for picking me to win the year in review kit. I never expected to and it was fantastic to recieve it this morning.
WOW what great colours.
thanks again Marie
ps I recieved eco friendly eye shadow yesterday and it is AMAZING colour. LOVE LOVE LOVE

I have to say that the Mint Color Corrector is awesome! I suffer from red post-acne marks and it really helps to lesson my redness so that when my foundation is buffed on my face is a nice even color without any reddish poking through.
I'm also loving your new eye-palettes. I've never been much of an eye-color wearer, but with these coordinated colors so conveniently packed (and perfect for on-the-go!), I think I'm getting more confident with colored lids by the day! (I just bought a couple mini-sizes of your colors and can't wait to get try them out!) My sister is just getting into makeup, and this would be awesome for her to get accustomed to eye color as well without much guess work at what colors she should use together. One is going into her stocking, for sure! (The Honey Palette would look gorgeous on her!)
Thanks for making these great products and raising my confidence! I look forward to stocking up with your products through 2011, as well!!
