For today’s HOME blog, I thought I could share all of the things that make my living space more comfortable. From throw pillows to eco-friendly memory foam mattresses and plush blankets... get ready to get comfy :)
Whitney Port, struggling fashion designer and star of one of my guilty TV pleasures “The City,” sure does look comfy in that big fluffy bed!
In fact, her West Village apartment that’s regularly featured on the show is brimming with comfy accents.
Recently, Curbed New York discovered that Whit’s plush three bedroom apartment was for rent on Craigslist, for a whopping $7,000/month! Peep the concrete evidence below.
A tipster checked out the listing and noticed that there were framed photos of the bubbly blonde (and her galpal and somewhat bad influence Roxy Olin) all around the house. Very interesting! This apartment listing, which has long since been taken down, is giving us a little tour of Whit’s digs and her totally girlie decorating style.

From her numerous blankets to the cornucopia of throw pillows, I’d say Whitney Port’s (former) apartment is the epitome of a feminine, comfy abode!
I am a bit of the pillow fanatic. When it comes to throw pillows, whether on the couch or in bed, I’m a part of the “more the merrier” school of thought.
There’s just so many ways that they can liven up a space, not to mention how comfy they are!

I’m particularly fond of West Elm’s Organic Cotton Big Sur Pillow... the modern botanical pattern is super cool and the best part is, you guessed it, it’s made from organic cotton!
Check out all of West Elm’s awesome pillows here.
One of the most obvious places I retreat to when I want to completely veg out and get comfortable? My bed, of course!
Just when I think I’ve heard of every “I didn’t know that could be eco-friendly” object out there, I discover a new one. You can’t have a luxuriously comfortable bed without choosing a fab mattress, and I am so loving Keetsa’s line of eco-friendly mattresses!
Some of my favorite ways that Keetsa’s mattresses are helping the environment? The mattress cover on Keetsa’s mattresses are made from unbleached cotton fabrics, bamboo blend fabrics and organic cotton fabrics. Instead of memory foam, which is made with 100% petroleum oil (and totally not eco-friendly), Keetsa uses Bio-foam, which is a new kind of memory foam that replaces 20% of the petroleum oil with castor bean oil, a natural plant oil. This accounts for less dependency on the oil industry and most importantly, this foam has no detected harmful off-gasing and no detected formaldehyde.
Check out more about Keetsa’s mattresses here.
Once you’ve got your eco-friendly mattress ready go to, you’ll need a comfy, cozy blanket to snuggle up in. I’ve always been a fan of Barefoot Dreams, and their Bamboo Chic Throw is partially made out of bamboo. Fab!
Another way to get comfy? Why, slippers and a robe of course!
How cute is Pottery Barn’s Lightweight Organic Robe, that is made with 100% organic cotton? It’s perfect for these warm summer months.

Perfect for a relaxing weekend afternoon, pair with these Acorn Spa Quilt Scuff Slippers (which are certified vegan!) for the ultimate in comfort.
As long as we’re talking the ultimate in comfort... I’ll admit it. I have a Snuggie.
So cheesy I know, but given how comfortable they are, can you really blame me? :)
With all this comfort on the brain, I figured it would be the perfect time to share one of my favorite eye shadows with you... that I appropriately named Comfy!
It’s a dark pearlescent toffee bronze with hints of gold shimmer... completely ideal to accentuate bronzed summer skin.
I hope some of these picks have inspired you to put your feet up and get comfortable! :)
FUN TASK:
If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring with you to make you super comfy?
I’ll send my Comfy eye shadow along with to-die-for comfortable vegan slippers to a few of the most fun :)

Carina

Then I would like an iPad with unlimited battery life. And all the books that I can read loaded in the iPad. That would keep me occupied. I love to read.
And maybe a hunk for eye candy and help with all the tough work e.g. setting up shelter, sourcing for water and food, and whatever that I need to be comfortable. Well, a girl can always dream.

1) My Babe because I could snuggle up to him
2) An outdoor utility kit that contains things to help cut wood, fruit, tie stuff up like to make a canopy, and something to help start a fire because fires are always comforting
3) A supersize sleeping bag that is extremely fluffy so I don't feel the sand under my body while I sleep

You know, I can't live without a roof on my head. I think my house is my Nest, where I can stay comfy and feel in my own world.
So, why don't have something similar then my House nest?
I've found this tent that seems a Pc Mouse, isn't cute?
Is habitable and fitted with audio and video system that work with solar panels.
It seems just like a capsule!
When I was a child I loved build some kind of "refuges" like this with all the things I have: chairs, bedsheets, clips! (My mum wasn't so happy
) I was creative because I loved have my own space.
Maybe because I've always had the same room with my sister.
Well, The first thing I would LOVE to have with me and that would make me feel SUPER COMFY is this: HOME POD!
2) Then I will take with me my own "Linus Blanket" (sounds childish but this is it!)
3) My Boyfriend. His harms are the most comfortable things I've ever tried
more than pillows, duvets, and all the rest. Well, this sound like a beautiful Holiday not like a bad thing

1. big, fat cotton socks... the super-squishy kind that don't fit well in shoes but make your feet feel sooo good!
2. my dogs... they are so snuggly and relaxing... dogs know how to live!
3. a super-expensive, thick but light, down alternative duvet... they keep you both warm and cool depending on the season
I'm going to assume my hubby can come too, because what fun is a super comfy island get-away without the love of one's life??

I would bring:
My bed
A blanket
And a super hot guy who I was comfortable with

1. My dogs (there are two of them) and they keep me very very comfortable....esp when its cold bc they are the best cuddlers.
2. My chapstick/balm bc i cannot be comfortable without my lips feeling hydrated (i have the biggest addiction to balm)
3. my bed.....I have a mattress that has a waterbed inside it...and it is so cozy and comfy esp bc it plugs in and heats up the water in the winter......

I would bring:

lol, i have a snuggie too, it is really cosy.
3 ITEMS TO TAKE ON A DESERTED ISLAND
1. a solar powered mobile phone which has tons of pictures in it and it would let me get in touch with people. I can also use the light as a Torch, just imagine something was climbing on me and i couldnt see it, i would be jumping around like a crazy woman, at least the place is deserted.
2. my pink toolbox which i would need to make my self a boat, a bed, and it will keep me occupied.
3. an all in one jane austen books because i would be feel like i am in a different place when i am reading them.
i would also explored the island because i will need to find food and i might even meet wildlife to keep my company. I can take swims and as it is deserted i could be a little wild and go nude like everyday minerals natural is cool.

2) Solar powered Ipad / laptop - Even if there's no internet, it will take care of boredom as long as it has games, language tutorials - to learn other languages while waiting to be rescued
, wordpad - to write and/or document with, music, books and movies. A book / guide on how to survive being stranded on an island would be FANTASTIC too!!
and lastly,
3) Blanket that my mom gave me - Super comfy and it's a little piece of home.
