It seems like everyone has gone mad for “Mad Men”!
The critically acclaimed show is now back for season 4, and my hubby really likes watching it. I’ve gotten into it mostly because I love the makeup, not to mention the clothes :)
Another aspect of the 1960’s-era show that I really love? The decor and furniture! This early ‘60s retro vibe is so cool, and I thought it would be fun to find ways to incorporate this vintage style at home.

Recently, unplggd.com had the same idea and set out to create a “Mad Men”/Playboy inspired music den. This was so cool to check out, and really inspiring!
How cool is this inspiration photo?
The after photos turned out amazing!

Whenever I find myself with my fam in LA, we always make stops at some of the amazing vintage shops that have the coolest antiques, from vases to bookshelves to chandeliers. There are so many great ones on Melrose Ave... I love getting lost in these stores!
One of my favorite stores on Melrose for home decor is Jonathan Adler, it’s right across from Fred Segal. Not vintage, but SO retro!
His aesthetic is super cool, he has the coolest ceramics and knitted pillows. Love this style so much :)

Adding a Jonathan Adler pillow to your couch or bed adds a fun splash of color and can really liven up a room.
Are any of you “Mad Men” fans, and have you ever wanted to transform an aspect of your home into this throwback vintage style?
I think me and my hubby just may need to do a bit of decorating now! :)
FUN TASK:
If you could nab a guest starring role on “Mad Men” and could enter the world of Don and Betty Draper, what would your character do to stir things up on the show? Tell me about your imaginary “Mad Men” alter-ego!
I’ll send Jonathan Adler’s adorable Utopia Williamsburg Vase to one of my favorites!

It would be quite interesting to see how the men and wives would deal with them.

But I would choose to be the chick in the picture wearing the gloves and smoking that cigarette.
Because I think ladies looked cool back then, when they smoked--before knowing that they shouldn't. I wish I could smoke, guilt and fear free, again.
And I adore the gloves.
