It's no surprise that summer is the most popular wedding season.
A summertime wedding is so enchanting.
While I'm not taking a walk down the aisle in the near future, I thought it would be fun to share my ideas for an unforgettable summertime wedding.
Starting with perhaps the most important part of your wedding..the dress.
Marchesa's wedding gowns are the epitome of bridal luxury. So chic.

Fantastic.
Temperley London's dresses would also be perfect. Love them.
A destination wedding, like a hill town in Italy, would just be beyond.
Tuscany is gorgeous in the summer.

Now that we have the destination and the dress locked down, let's dish on the cuisine.
Keep it fun with finger food - because everyone loves kobe sliders and pigs in a blanket, let's be real.

For a sweet treat, instead of a typical massive wedding cake, I like the idea of mini cupcakes in different flavors.
This gives everyone a chance to pick their favorite!

For your bridesmaids, there's nothing worse than the tacky bridesmaids dress cliche.
I think everyone should wear their own bridesmaids dress..maybe keep to a color scheme or theme.
Pick a designer you like and have your bridesmaids pick out their fave from the current collection!
A wedding blog that's a fave of mine is Green Wedding Shoes. Amazing photography.

Love.
When planning your wedding, invites are crucial. Love costume stationary for the invites.
Ceci New York's luxury invites are my favorite.

When it comes to makeup, go for a delicate, soft sheen. Love the Scented Candles eye shadow and the Champagne lucent face powder that Carina created.

A pink tulip bouquet is pretty and classic.
Doesn't this all sound so lovely?
FUN TASK:
What is your dream wedding? I'd love to hear your bridal fantasies.
My fav will receive Scented Candles eye shadow, Champagne lucent face powder and this pretty Topshop Collar and Chains Necklace.

Congrats Erika Dawson
Your gifts are on the way!

Details are essential.
I've seen lots of Wedding Days, so I've decided what I Want for mine.
Minimal and Chic.
Few closest people I really love (and really love me)
Joy, a Pure joy I can share with all of them.
It has to be my Fairytale.
I have mostly 2 ideas.
FIRST IDEA
Outdoor Wedding, on the lake, in a beautiful mansion with a stunning garden.
A really romantic dress, full of precious details (that makes the difference)
This is from Valentino (Made in Italy of course
, and let's dream about haute cotoure)
This seems a Disney Princess Dress, and is by Vera Wang with her unmistakble style.
Tied hair!
http://talkingmakeup.com/pics/news6/lake2.jpg
And a beautiful vintage Garter! This really Makes the difference
Also an outdoor banquet with Gazebi!
And don't forget the Music! I'd love a Piano or an Arc Quartet.
SECOND IDEA!
Wedding on the Beach
A summer dress, like a siren on the seaside!
Max Mara vision.
Chanel vision.
The colour theme? Of course Torquoise (Tiffany colour everywhere!)
http://i21.ebayimg.com/01/i/001/39/81/d162_1_sbl.JPG
And another detail
The Anklet! Don't forget we are on the beach
and we're gonna dance all time long! http://www.couturehayez.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Weding-Beach.jpg
Enjoy the Wedding

Of course the colors surrounding the wedding would be bright oranges, reds, maroons, browns, and some soft green. I also love the pop of purple mixed with fall colors! Oh man, these bright colors accenting a white wedding dress would be gorgeous!
Okay I'm totally getting wedding fever right now! I need to stop!

I want my wedding to be on the beach. I think that it is perfect for a summer wedding. My dress would have to be be Sleek and white, maybe sating.
I want my flowers to be tropical arrangements! The food would have to be simple to eat. I know that it sounds kind of silly but maybe a bbq. I think that it would be pretty fun for everyone and relatively easy to do. I could put my brother and his friends on the grill lol.

The love of my life was there

barefoot on the beach with the love of my life and a few friends and family.
to me, the wedding is not about outdoing the next bride and being lavish and over-the-top, but it's about sharing LOVE. the love between a couple and the love of two families coming together.
plus, the less money you spend on the wedding, the more money you can spend traveling the world with your honey!! : )

It isn't too cold or hot. As long as it isn't rainy, it's all good. The theme would be bohemian-ish and middle eastern-ish. The wedding dress:
Something flowy and bohemian, yet still feminine and beautiful. Minus the head band thing.
Anf I want flowers in my hair.
Brides mades dresses:
Ceremony will be outside:
The reception would also be in the outside but in beautiful tents:
Wedding touches:

My dream wedding would be to the perfect man, something small and beautiful, flowers everywhere, and my greatest friends and family to witness it.

I have been stuck in my share of horrible bridesmaids dresses hanging in my closet, and though want to burn them in effigy, I would feel as if I were betraying a friend, so I am stuck with the horrible poofy ugly hot pink, hunter green, silver, purple pukey color, burgandy, and orange (yes ORANGE) dresses filling my closet.
Oh... and poof has been outlawed at my wedding.
I sure hope what they say is not true... Thrice a bridesmaid....
because my dream wedding is planned to the tees. I am craving something so off the wall that everyone would have such a great time that they would talk about it for a long time.
Now if only I could find the guy to go along with it

i have the place, and the dress, which is just too awesome because i am working with a designer friend of mine on it, she is creating my design customized perfectly for me. it's antique lace deepish v neck backless all in a creme. i am going to try to post some pics when it's finished.
love that necklace it would be perfect for my dress and i am soooo stealing the idea of those vintage bouquets. beautiful!

I don't really like the idea of wearing a traditional wedding dress, so I'm thinking this one would be awesome in any color with one great jewelry piece and killer shoes: http://tinyurl.com/37a8fh8
And finally, I would probably end up doing a destination wedding to get the most of out of the honeymoon and/or get married at city hall with an invite cocktail party immediately after or on a designated future date. I think the ceremony itself is really a private affair and I've always thought it would be nice to just have it be myself and the boy as opposed to myself, the boy along with future family and relatives. Just in case we mess up our lines

In my mind I see something like this for the setting.
written by kojiwedding, June 09, 2010
If I could have my dream wedding, I'd have a destination wedding (since we're dreaming here). I'd love to have a wedding in Provence, France. The great expanses of green, the lavender, the wonderful places to stay there! Wouldn't it be wonderful to walk down an aisle with lavender surrounding you, or to wake up your first day as Mrs. _____, look out the window, and see this?
Gwen Stefani's John Galliano For Dior silk faille wedding gown is what I'd pick as my gown. I love how the end of her dress is dip-dyed in pink! I love pink, but I wouldn't want an over-saturation of it at my wedding. I love the subtle feminine touch on her dress:
I don't really like too-fancy meals at wedding, where some people might be poking into things, going, "What is this?" I want people to enjoy themselves! Finger foods galore! I love these Thai summer rolls. So pretty, filling, light, and you can have a variety of dipping sauces (chili, fish sauce, soy sauce, peanut sauce, etc.)
I also love these little finger food rings…silly and a conversation-starter, right?
And I want a Kogi truck at my wedding! Is it tacky? So what? The food's delicious! I'd die if I ever went to a wedding that had one of these.
I've always wanted mini cupcakes in different flavors for my wedding because it's cuter that way, and just like you said, it allows people to get their favorite flavors. I love the one below, with the frosting the color of Tiffany. And I also want to mix it up with petits fours so they look like mini presents. I've seen some amazing petits fours cakes, and I'm definitely decided on having one for my wedding!
And also a macaron tower (haha, while we're dreaming)!
As for drinks, I want lots of pretty cocktails (non-alcoholic, too) with flowers of various kinds.
I hate traditional bridesmaids dresses…ugly, matching sacks you can't wear more than once? No thanks! I'd go way non-traditional and make my bridesmaids dress in their favorite dresses (if they don't have one, then I take them on shopping trips). I want them to wear the one dress that makes them feel like they're GLOWING. I think it's important for them to shine, too (I'm not much of a Bridezilla, am I?). I want everyone to have a good time and be comfortable.
I love the idea of "message in a bottle" wedding invitations like the one below! I love the beach, and I love the idea of sending some coral sand, shells, and maybe a sea-inspired fragrance pouch in a bottle with the invitations. The invitations become like a keepsake instead of just something you toss. Each bottle will have a starfish engraved with the invited people's names and the date of the wedding. Then you use a corrugated box to ship the bottles in.
With makeup, since I'm a new huge fan of Everyday Minerals, I'd want to use "Ballet Slippers" eyeshadow because it's so subtle but pretty. Or maybe the lavender palette because in Provence, I'd be surrounded by real lavenders, so how perfect! I don't want to feel like I'm wearing 10 pounds of makeup on my wedding day, so Everyday Minerals is perfect because it always feels very light to me so I forget I'm wearing it. I'd top it off with Everyday Minerals Finishing Dust (which I recently tried and loved) because I tend to get shiny easily, and that's so not attractive in wedding photos.
For flowers, simple peonies do the trick for me!
I realize these are all over the place in terms of theme, but ah, well.
It's my dream wedding day.

mmmm
My dream wedding would be a romantic soiree on the beach.. I live in Sorrento, Italy and I'd love to get married in San Francesco cloister, at the sunset
and then we would have a light dinner and dancing at the beach, maybe here: http://www.marameobeach.com/ricevimenti_gall.htm , ore here http://www.hotelcapolagala.com/servizi.htm
I would wear a beautiful dress by Valentino for Pronovias
or by Peter Langner
i'd love an all white color palette
charming handwritten invitations
and a bouquet made of peonies and cabbage roses in light peach and pink
ohhh.. i'm daydreaming!!!

I was never a girl to dream about my wedding. It wouldn't seem right until I found the right person. Funny thing is - I dream a lot about other people's weddings. See, I'm in public relations and do event planning. I was almost a wedding planner actually. I've seen A LOT of weddings and have helped plan a few. One night I had a dream, literally, about this beautiful wedding and woke up knowing that one was different. It was mine.
I dreamt about a Fall wedding at an apple orchard. I went to one near my place last year and the colors and scenery were breathtaking. It would be dusk, with a path lit by sparkling apple trees to the ceremony. A massive oak tree sets the scene for the bride and groom while white wooden chairs lead back to the edge of the apple trees. The bride would wear a very relaxed, silk or lace, gown while the bridesmaids wore a dress of their choice, but of similar style. The reception would be filled with warm lighting and the vibrant colors of orchard apples. Apple cider available for the kids of course!
Of course there were many more details, but you get the idea. Hope you enjoy!

The best part about my wedding was that I was getting married to my dream man. Of course no man is perfect but we are perfect for each other.
My dress was awesome an A line with champagne embroidery, A Jessica Mc Clintock. I felt like a princess. I had a tiara and my hair and makeup done professionally. We got married in a meadow in the most flourished time of spring.
I had a violinist and a cellist the food was the most delicious spread of vegetarian options. hummus and pitas, tobouli, salads of various sorts and grilled vegetable salads.
Candles and Christmas Lights lit the seating area and it was really very beautiful, and definitely my dream wedding

) How cook would that be, I wonder how many guests you would have. It would not be too long of a hike though just something short. I would have to bring a cute white dress and we would have to carry in champaigne and have a bbq. That would be so different and so much fun!!

What would be your dream wedding? for the groom to turn up at the wedding, lol.
I want a very romantic wedding day.
Theme: Butterflies and hearts, this would include the invitation designs.
Dress: I would like a fabulous yellow wedding dress.
Makeup: EDM makeup.
Hair: i would have wavy hair, with butterfly accesories.
I would like to arrive at the destination in a carriage.
Location: I would like somewhere exotic and beautiful, so it would be either barbados beach amongst the palm trees or a beautiful vine garden, that way the guests would be able to sample freshly made wine.
I would like musicians at the reception singing classic romantic songs.
The food would be light, with lots of variety, vegetarian options.
I want people to really enjoy it.

I cant wait to have my special day. I have everything planned to the T, now I just have to find a guy to go along with it haha.
My dress is actually my grandmother's vintage wedding dress. it's absolutely gorgeous in mint condition.
Next is my hat, I am definitely going for the headpiece hat with netting, I still have to find this, I probably wont start looking until I have actually found the man....
The location. I am still deciding exactly but I think I want to do a location wedding, definitely Italy. I love Tuscany so I am leaning towards it.
For cuisine I am definitely going to hire some locals to make us some real Tuscany home made cuisine, and I want a whimsy topsy turvy cake
For flowers I am all about the calla lilies, They are so simplistically beautiful and elegant.
For decor, I would love if we could find a perfect tuscan villa on a vineyard, reception in the courtyard with flowers jasmine and daisies ivy and twinkling lights and candles.
Now.... just need to find the man.

My husband and I are simple people and like small gatherings. Our wedding, however, ended up having 425 people in attendance! Yikes. Knowing that was coming, we took measures to fulfill our dream of still keeping it simple and personal.
The name of our game was Friend and Family Involvement! Three daughters of a personal friend were our flower girls. They wore dresses that another family friend made. My wedding dress was homemade by the same woman. She spent hours embroidering daisies and rhinestones onto my beautiful gown. Another friend did my hair and my bridesmaids' hair. Another friend was our marvelous photographer. Another friend made our wedding cake--a small cake just for hubby and I to share! The 425 guests enjoyed lemon bars and strawberry shortcakes made with locally grown berries. Those desserts were made by yet another friend. Finally, I even designed my own flower arrangements. I arranged two humongous vases of flowers of all colors, gathered together accent bouquets that I attached to the pews, and finally produced my dream bridal bouquet as well. I used bold colors because we are bold, colorful people. My favorite part was adding rhinestones to the center of the gerbera daisies!
I know I can't remember everyone who was at our wedding (now 7 years ago this month!). I know that the day was a blur. But it's these small ultra-personal images that come to mind when I look back. The memories I have of these personal touches of unique color and the love I felt from the involvement of family and friends made our day a true dream come true!

I've always known that I would be married in a vivienne westwood dress.
I liked this cluster of what would be expected at my wedding: summer breeze, iced tea, pale roses, and having the ceremony outdoors. Pretty much everything in this picture (except the dress)!
And to finish off the night I'd change into this Lanvin mini to dance the night away!
Now all I need is the perfect man!

Outdoors, tons of candles and lanterns for light.
My dress will be simple and elegant column dress with a v neckline, silk, of course.
Fragrant flowers everywhere and English Ivy.
I think It will be beautiful

The best musicians played, we had it in our home church, which has a beautiful old time feel. Flowers everywhere.

In our relationship everything was soo natural. We live together pratically from the beginning, we've learned to know and love each other day by day, sharing everything, joys and problems. We grew up together as people and couple also by growing up our little boy (born from his previous relationship but I consider him my son) who is almost ten now. Then three years ago born our little princess. We are a happy family..
This was a premise just to say that we are non-conventional people, so even our wedding will be!
We just want to honor our family and stay faithful to who we are, so we will keep things simple and natural.
We do not want a traditional ceremony. We want something organic and authentic–absolutely no pomp or circumstance, but also original and a little bit crazy/confusing just what we are!
I think that we'll getting married formally at the city hall but also we are going to organize a symbolic ceremony with our families and friends!
We decided this type of wedding because we loved the non-hierarchical philosophy. Instead of one clergyman officiating, each guest is considered an officiant and together the community “marries” the couple (I've told you that we're a little bit crazy XD)
The guests (60 of them) probably will sit in a large circle around us. Inside the circle of chairs It will be a circle of flower petals laid out on the ground. My future husband and I and our two children–the flower girl and ring bearer– will stay inside the petal circle. The circles symbolized our “sacred space.”
Then we'll say our own vows and then invited guests to speak (I've asked them to prepare speech or poems or what they want ). I'm sure that this will make the wedding spontaneous and fresh: we don’t know what people would say and we don’t know the ceremony will be over until it will be over. Guests will sign a wedding book signifying that they had “witnessed” our wedding–and so we will be married!
Since I am an atipical bride (I have 2 children so I think the white dress isn't right for me) I would love to have a purple wedding dress! I completely fell in love with this couture Bottega veneta dress!
Isn't that gorgeous?
I’m not a veil person, so I’m not going to wear anything in my hair. The dress make enough of a statement – anything on my head would be overkill.
Since the dress will be "stronge" for the bouquet I want something of traditional white but always simple..
The location will be probably a vineyard during summer, and for the ceremony i've choose a purple color palette for the flowers and centerpieces.. Something like that:
Finally the wedding cake, I like this one but in lilac with purple and white flowers (the same of bouquet and centerpieces)..
I hope that our guests will likely be delighted by a wedding that is not the “same old.” But most of all I hope that that will be a special day for us, especially for our children!

i live in new mexico. for me, my dream wedding would be at white sands monument. it's basically a bunch of sand dunes, but the sand is sooo white it looks like snow. it'd have to be small and intimate, but you can always throw a big party afterwards.
i'd wear a grecian-inspired marchesa gown. their stuff is so dreamy! then we'd have a big throw-down reception at mexican cantina. and most importantly: the groom would look like brandon flowers. xo
