I want to start sharing my looks of the day with you, so today I had a friend take a picture of me in my new apartment (notice the lack of furniture) with my outfit du jour.
I tried to draw upon modern influences mixed with vintage ones, with a little dose of nautical style thrown in for fun.
Let me break my wardrobe down for you, piece by piece!
I’m wearing a hat I got while on vacation..I flew home wearing this on a 12 hour flight! I paired this with my Ray-Ban Wayfarers of course and a Tom Binns rhinestone necklace mixed with a few vintage necklaces.
Can’t get enough of Tom’s statement necklaces..they’re gorgeous.
I kept my lips hydrated with a light wash of Carina’s beautiful Bourgeois Chic lippie.
From there I paired a really affordable BDG striped shirt I got at Urban Outfitters with my favorite Kasil + Taylor Jacobson Minx jeans. How cool is it that I am wearing my own designs??
Metallic silver Lanvin flats and tons of gold jewelry are the icing on the cake.
I did a little online sleuthing for those of you who are inspired by my look here and want to try it our for yourselves. Whether it’s taking one element of the look or combining various aspects..just be sure to make it your own!!!
Urban Outfitters has some great striped pieces right now (I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again..love a good stripe!!) that are really wallet-friendly. Love the Pins and Needles Boxy Striped Cardigan and the Pins and Needles Shoulder Pad Striped Pullover Sweater.
Vince’s Slouchy Stripe Cropped Sweater is so classic.
For a more affordable alternative to Tom Binns’ crazy pieces, check out Gemma Redux’s Cracked Crystal and Chain Necklace.
Calvin Klein’s Lexa II in Silver Metallic Honeycomb are so cute and great for a basic ballet flat with a bit of edge.

today i am keeping it nice and simple with my hair up in a pony, with a white tea shirt and flesh colored bra,, yay glad i learnt that trick.. and skinny grey cords, with a red belt and some cool flip flops that are fleshy dusty pink colored and have a big lovely flower at the toes. I love them! i got them from Target and what i like best is i can show off my red toe pedicure but hide my big ugly feet with the pretty flower.. also adorning myself with some bangles from charlotte reuse, some gold, white and bronze ones clinking and clanking yay!

Today I am wearing a simple old navy tank, its violet with horizontal gold stripes. A pair of dark wash skinnies and a pair of lavender and white converse flats. Jewelry I have my hemp bracelets and anklets that I always wear (especially during the summer season) and I haven't gotten to my makeup yet, but I have been drooling for some Everyday Minerals, let me tell you! Today I'm wearing navy blue skinny pants from Forever 21. It has a really cute ruffling going on at the waist. It's stretchable and very comfortable.
I have a melon colored tank top from Old Navy that I bought for a mere 2 dollars! And since it's still a bit chilly right now I have a blue cardigan on.
No accessories since I had to quickly get out the door but my hair is pulled back in a ponytail and a simple flower to to add to my hair.

I work in a hair salon, so we are limited in the colors that we are allowed to wear (gray and black). With a limitation in color, I always try to get a great pop in my accessories. Today I'm wearing some great ankle length skinny black pants. They are super comfy and o so Audrey! Up top I'm wearing a grey racer back tank from madewell and a sloucht black boyfriend blazer. As for my pop, I added a great peach chandelier necklace from anthropologie. It's substantial, sparkly, and adds a little glam to an otherwise simple outfit. Lastly, I'm wearing Tory Burch Reva flats in black with the gold medallion. These shoes are comfy, and classic. Hope everyone has a chic day!

I'm lucky enough to work in a casual environment which allows me to experiment a little with my wardrobe. I have on a black cotton mid-thigh dress. It's cinched at the waist. Sometimes it gets cold in my office so I have on a dark olive colored, long cotton cardigan. Little black flats make this outfit very comfortable and cute.
The best part though is the accessories. I'm wearing my great-great-grandmother's cameo necklace and earrings. The necklace is long and has pictures inside of my great-great-grandfather and great-grandfather. My hair is loosely curled with a pinned-in flower that matches the cameo jewelry.
I feel good and that's what matters right? I love having the little reminder of my family.

Today, I am forcing fall in Tennessee - a feat unmatched after many days of temperatures in the 100's. Dark wash Hudson jeans, tucked into my favorite chocolate brown distressed biker boots, a beige, cream and navy striped cardigan from Urban Outfitters, over a white tank, capped off with my gigantic silver boyfriend watch and a vintage gold locket on a long chain. The locket has a compass on it and was a gift from my best friend who recently moved - so I'd always be able to find my way back to her. Everybody now, "awwwwww".

Alright, so today was my comfy yet cute look (mostly because I have to work in an hour and I didn't feel like getting gussied up to take it all off.)
I wore a vintage Aerosmith baseball tee, that my mom had when she was younger (it's kind of amazing and really really soft.) I paired that with my Ksubi twig skinny jeans with the zippered ankles, and a great pair of Jessica Simpson wedges that are wooden on the bottom and black leather on the top. Clearly, I wore my hair messy and curly but pulled back into a messy ponytail. I threw on all my classic rings that I wear everyday, an owl ring with amethyst eyes, a blown glass ring, a huge Fossil silver mens watch, and a gear ring my boyfriend made me last year. I also wore my (clearly cheaper) version of your sideways cross necklace in gold that my boyfriend bought me last Christmas.
I have to say that I'm always about comfort, I don't really push the edges when it comes to comfort, but I still like to look put together and clean.

So today I am wearing a chocolate brown American Apparel slouchy v-neck tee tucked into a high-waisted, flouncy silky skirt that has a hunter green background with mallards printed all over it. It's by Pegleg NYC. I just got it Saturday and I'm super excited about it. I love Americana-inspired goodies. It also has big roomy pockets on the side. I think it is a fantastic idea for you to start sharing your look of the day! You have such a style and a great way of pulling everything together. I love getting ideas.
I work in an office so, I am wearing a print wrap dress, color of the dress is coral.
With that I have paired a nude heel by Aldo, which when I saw these shoes in the store I knew I had to have them. However, the love sort of drifted away a bit when I actually walked in them, Ouch!
They are a bit painful, but oh well beauty is pain, right? Only 2 more hours of work, then they are off.
My toppings are a gold Michael Kors watch, a long gold necklace, which I have added a antique cameo to that was my grandmothers and some gold bangles.
My hair back in a simple pony tail. The weather is so hot in Texas!!

7 for all Mankind gwenevere skinny hook and eye jeans in black oleander. love love love the hook and eye detail in the back! the hardware on the jeans makes them special
black joie jovi lace up flat boots: the miltary style and flat base for comfort is something that i'm really feeling right now
a gap white and navy striped short sleeved cuffed t-shirt. i really like the french nautical style as well because it reminds me of coco chanel and jean paul gaultier
a fallon fringe choker necklace with silver chains and crystals. love the edginess in this statement necklace!
and finally tom ford black nikita cat eye sunglasses are a must right now because they feel like 50's glamour!

Even though I'm not doing anything for my day off, I just received my Silence & Noise BF blazer in the mail! So I had to try it on and dress it up. I also chose a UO grey burnout v-neck, F21 black skinnies, a personal necklace, and a warrior spike cuff. If I were wearing shoes, I would choose my new BDG boat shoes to match. Also sporting some EM, a natural look with some soft touch blush! New clothes makes my whole day better!

I love your outfit! So nautical and rock star with the statement necklace! I would love to try on a pair of the Kasil jeans because you said you wanted them to fit very slim in the leg.
Here's my outfit! I always add a little sentimental item with my clothing so I have family who passed near me (cheesy and maybe a little creepy, but not to me, lol).
JACKET: A vintage black leather jacket I got from The Wasteland, which is one of my favorite items of clothing! It's so soft and comfortable now. I love leather that's worn in and looks like it came from Keith Richard's closet.
SHIRT: A black V-neck T-shirt from American Apparel.
BOTTOM: J Brand Houlihans in Vintage Taupe.
SHOES: An AMAZING pair of black motorcycle ankle booties from Proenza Schouler with a square toe that I got at a great deal. Here's a link to a pic if you want to see:

ACCESSORIES: A vintage large swinging locket (it's much bigger than your average locket…about half a palm size) with a picture of two family members who have since passed on. I rotate my jewelry because sometimes I'm scared if I wear it too much I'll lose it or tarnish it, so I switch between this one and a dainty locket that's on a pin, and another necklace locket that's regular sized and heart-shaped (both have pictures of family in them). I love how they look like they came from grandmother's jewelry box.
SUNGLASSES: A no-brand pair of black cat-eye shaped sunglasses from the store "The Way We Wore."
WATCH: My late uncle's foreign brand chunky silver watch (it has a name, but I can't read it). It doesn't even tick anymore, but I don't want to fix it. I like it has the same battery as when he wore it.
HAIR: Purposely beach messy with the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray. I'm pretty lazy with hair because I don't really know how to style it properly, lol.

Today i am going military styled; i am wearing: j-brand skinny cargo pants in green with a marc by marc jacobs white shirt and a tanned colored vest i got from a store in cannes with stones all over them. I paired it with the marc by marc jacobs "party girl pixie mini bag" crossbody and jimmy choo for hunter rainboots in the new greyish-blackish color bcz it was raining outside. As for the jewlery, i had a lot gng on with the stones on my vest so i went for simple studs and my love braclete (WHICH NEVER LEAVES MY HAND) and a brown bottega venetta braclete

Right now i'm on my Bohemian fase... i try to do fases so that i can learn how to play around with different looks and fashion styles, last month was my classic fase and today i thought about mixing the two i can only mix the styles that i already did like classic with the fase that i'm gowing through, i know that in fashion there is no rules but it kinda gets me excited about the next fase minimalistic!! so i try to think of how i can do what i can with what i have and has made me realize a whole new world of possibilities and styles for my wardrobe; i'm wearing this very bohemian cotton floral dress i got from a thrift shop in santa cruz, i love it ! it's kinda beige with blue and grey florals and a lot of movement and I paired it with my favorite keneth cole black blazer, black tights, and black patent mary jane heels, then i tried to add a boho greyish scarf, gold bangle brecelts and my gold michel kors watch (that i lovee!!) and it came together as a boho classic look oh and my pastel grey nails!! luvsss xoxoxo

tho they come with controversy, i wore my favorite black jersey knit harem pants that i got from sakks a wile ago..i ripped out the tag but i'm pretty sure they are romeo&juliet couture....they are similar to these. wore them scrunched to about mid calf

then i wore my signature leather cuff i got from god knows where, an over-the-elbow silver bracelett and my fave hello kitty necklace

Today I am wearing my Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young concert t-shirt. I wear it and remember the fun time my dad and I had at the concert, and it is really soft and comfortable. A comfy pair of rolled boyfriend jeans that are loose to handle the heat. A gold metallic O'Neal mama cita flip flops that I just got that I love. An aquamarine necklace that the aquamarine was bought when I was a baby and given to me when I turned 18, that I made into a necklace. A chunky marc by marc jacobs sliver link bracelet. A Shark Freestyle watch that brings me back to my childhood when they were oh so popular. My usual rings.... a mothers ring that my dad and mom bought when I was born. My mom gave it to me when I started high school and a pink pearl ring my boyfriend brought back when he went to China at the beginning of the summer. And when I go out I have my Rayban tortoise Wayfarers that have been my saving grace this summer!

I love the Kasil+Taylor Minx, I can't wait for those to arrive in France.
Taylor, you are my fashion icon, you were my favorite person on the show, I can't believe they are saying such terrible things about you on Tv, can't you just sue them for that?
anyway my look of the day is :
- white jeans short shorts from Zadig & Voltaire, french brand that you can find at Fred Segal (you will see the almost same at H&M for $20)
- Black top from Costume National that I found in Paris for great bargains
- a hat from Zara but I customized it a little
- red repetto flat
- gold and silk bracelet from Alyssa Norton
- gold anchor necklace found on a flea market
- vintage Chloé aviator sunglasses (the ones with little swarovski heart on the side, it's not really vintage but it's 10 years old) I don't wear them very often cause it's collector to me, so I'm saving it for my daughter, if I do have a daughter some day

jewellery: this iced gem bracelet, i am really liking these retro jewellery.
makeup: i have gone for natural look, use hot chocolate all over eyelid with wet sand as highlight, theme park blush and interpersonal attraction lippie.

This is what I wore today(I don't know how to upload pictures):
- A dark greyish-blue midleg length velvet skirt with a lace border used as a dress. Because it is a little bit loose I held it together with a slim vintage leather belt.
- Simple black knee length tights.
- A pink 3/4 arm length cardigan.
- A pair of earrings that has tiny chains dangling with a little black stone in the middle.
- My pink Camper Imar leather shoes.
- A green leather jacket.
- And for makeup etc. I let my hair straight down with smokey eyes that had a slight turquoise hint.
I guess that was it

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Kasil + Taylor Jacobson Minx Jeans in Industrial. So happy you are realizing your dreams and achieveing your goals! Right now I am wearing a mink pink leaopard print drapey shirt with cut out shoulder sleeves and a a "train" in back that goes down to mid calf along with my blue suede platform slouchy jeans! So hot! Thanks for inspiring me for take some fashion chances I otherwise no normally never have been brave enough to do. I have gotten so many compliments and all I can say it "I learned it from the stylist Taylor Jacobson!
