Taylor Jacobson: Los Angeles Trailblazer Picks
The Basics
Before breaking out on her own, Taylor Jacobson began her career working with some of the most influential stylists at the time. With a self-described style that combines fashion and accessibility, she's been able to establish a clientele that includes some of Hollywood's leading talent. Along with working as a fashion stylist, she was also positioned as creative director and spokesperson for Shoeprivee.com, one of the top private shoe clubs online, as well as design collaborator to Kasil Jeans. Whether she's getting her clients ready for a red carpet event, working on a music video, or blogging, Jacobson never misses a beat, even if it means losing sleep.
Taylor's Picks
Favorite new restaurant: Son of a Gun has such a great atmosphere and amazing food!
Recent culinary crush: Love the risotto at Mezze.
Favorite LA Designer: The bag line by Simone Camille is so colorful – it makes me smile!
What salon/spa do you love when preparing for something special: For special event prep, I visit Andy Lecompte Salon. I hate blow outs, but Greg Russell gives it to me like no one else!
Best place to work up a sweat: For a good work out I go to Physique 57 – you shake and sweat…eventually you are suppose to get use to it...I haven't.
Best artist/art exhibit/art happening you're into now: I’m really excited about the OHWOW Gallery opening in LA with artist exhibit Scott Campbell.
Best local LA band right now: Chief is a pretty amazing local band.
Best place in LA to soak up some culture: Warehouse district downtown has amazing buildings, spaces, and art gallery's.
New favorite late night spot: Late night Tacos at Las Palmas are a great end to a night out!
Where do you go out/like to do on a low-key night in LA: La Poubelle is a great hangout for a low-key night out.
Favorite bartender: I’m the best bartender I know – I know how to make a stiff drink.
What recent LA trends would you like to see go away: I would love to see the LA trend of girls wearing slutty outfits to hike in go away.
Best/Worse aspects of living in LA: One thing I hate about LA is never being able to catch a cab at 2 a.m.
