Here at Everyday Minerals we like to keep it natural, and we know that you do too. But all-natural deodorants that actually work are really, really hard to find. So here's a super easy recipe to make your own. And don't worry, we've done the test driving for you. It works. Here's the breakdown.
Day 1. Making the deodorant. Very easy, and fun to personalize with your favorite essential oils! (I choose tea tree and ginger)
Day 2. Out with the Dove, in with the DIY. Smells good, dries quickly. I read that it was normal to be a little extra sweaty during the transitional phase, not feeling that yet. Fingers crossed.
Day 3. Ok, I'm really sweaty now. But I still smell fine, and I expected this. TIme to power through.
Days 4-6. Still sweaty. Maybe this was a bad idea.
Day 7. The light at the end of the very, very dry tunnel. Went for my daily workout, pits dry.
Days 8-10. The ultimate test. Austin City Limits Music Festival: Dancing. All day. All night. In Texas. DIY Deo=approved.
Want to make your own? Here's the recipe:
Mix together 1/3 cup of arrowroot powder and 1/4 cup of baking soda
Fold in 8 Tbsp. of coconut oil
Add any desired essential oils (Tea tree is a great antibacterial!)
Voila! It's that easy, and it works!
