Q: Former; Ivory, Is it gone now? I had only just found the perfect match for my skin tone, and seemingly now you've removed it?
A: Hello Sandy,
We have reformulated our Matte/Semi Matte bases and have renamed them for easy identification and recall. You can try 0N Fair through our 7 Piece Kit to see if this is your perfect shade. This is for Fair skin with neutral undertones. Thank You!
Q: Sandy Fair is no longer in the Semi-Matte (or anywhere but the free samples), what would I order instead? Did the name just change? Help, my sister doesn't want to have to try a bunch again to find the right foundation! Plus, she doesn't like to waste all the ones that don't work.
A: Hello Paula,
The closest match to Sandy Fair is the 1N Ivory. But, currently, this shade is out of stock in the big size. It should be back in stock in 4 weeks' time. Please feel free to check back with us for any updates!
Q: Matte Base, Multi-Tasking Neutral.. I found this at another site.. what color is this now ?? I have used many mineral makeups and the one that reacts best with my now dry skin is Jane Iredale. How does your brand compare to that brand.. I find it is milled finer than the Bare Escentuals.. Thanks.
I'm not familiar with Jane Iredale. But, we do offer a 7 Piece Sample Kit so that you can try out a variety of our Base shades. The kit let's you select 5 custom samples that include: foundations and blush shades, you only need to pay for shipping. You will automatically receive 2 free blush colors: Primerose and Tea Rose. You can select your shades here: http://www.everydayminerals. com/store/productkit/ mineralmakeup/free/
Our Semi-Matte finish is comparable to BE. We currently offer 3 different foundation base finishes, perfect for every climate. Multi-tasking Neutral has been re-named as 2C Rosy Light. Thank You!

Q: What is the closest to Medium Beige Neutral - IT, SKU 901035IT? I can't find it, why is it removed?
A: Hello May Helen,
We have a completely new Matte and Semi-Matte line with a unique and easy name system. You can learn more about it on our Blog. 5N Tan is the closest match in comparison to the Medium Beige Neutral. We also offer the 7 Piece Sample Kit so that you can try out a variety of Base shades as well. Thank You!
Q: What is the closest to buttered tan, in semi-matte,matte, and IT?
And can I call and change 2 blushes in 7 piece sample kit to sth else? I don't want those reddish blushes because I have red acne scars lot on cheek. I only use light purple blushes. Thanks.
A: Hi Jin,
Golden Beige 3W is the same shade as Buttered Tan and it's available in the semi-matte and matte base. Currently, those 2 blushes come with that kit automatically. We won't be able to switch it up.If you need help in selecting shades, just send us an email at email@example.com. Thanks You!
Q: My favorite "Light" is gone. I used to use it in Original Glo and it was my all time favorite. When Original Glo was discontinued, I began using it in Semi-Matte. Now you've changed things again and discontinued it all together.
Per your recommendation I tried 0w, 1w, 2w and none of them are a good match. I've also tried others in semi-matte and jojoba (cream, sand), shell blanc) base. None of them have that yellow-golden tint, which Light had. Can you please bring the "Light" back?!?
A: Hello Anastasiya,
Makeup tip: use the closest shade that matches your complexion and overlay it by adjusting the color with more yellow by applying Sunlight Color Corrector or Sunlight Finishing Dust. We will also add the Light Base to the Vintage roster for a limited release, so please check back. The Vintage products will also be included in newsletters. Thank You!
Q: I am highly upset that I can no longer buy my perfect shade of foundation. Did you get rid of all of the olive shades? I would like to know what happened to the shade olive medium..
A: Hello Joce,
The 5W Golden Tan is the closest match in comparison to the Olive Medium. The olive shades are now apart of our Vintage page, which means that the product will be produced only a couple of times a year in small batches. http://www.everydayminerals.com/store/sale/vintage.html We also offer the 7 Piece Sample Kit so that you can try out a variety of Base shades as well. Thank You!
Q: I have previously been ordering the linen matte foundation. I believe the new one is called 1N Ivory? When will that be in stock?
A: Hello Elena,
Yes, Linen has been renamed as 1N ivory. 1N Ivory should be back in stock in about 2 weeks. Please feel free to check back with us for any updates! You can send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank You!
Q: I have been mixing Fair Neutral in Semi -Matte and Fairly Light Neutral in Semi-Matte to get the perfect shade for years - are those equivalent to 0N and 1N in the new names? If not, what are the new names?
A: Hello Jaimi,
The Fair Neutral base has been renamed as 0N Fair while the Fairly Light Neutral has been renamed as 2N Light. Thank You!
Q: I have been using medium tan for a while now, but it is too dark. I tried the shade below it (light tan) and found it to be too pink. I have olive/golden undertones, would tan 5n be a good match for me?
A: Hello Bo,
Yes, I believe that is the next good shade to try through our 7 Piece Sample Kit :) Thank You!
Q: I bought 0N, but it is to yellow when I put it on my whole face. So what should I try? 1W or 0W?
A: Hello Lu,
I suggest you give the 0C Rosy Fair a try through our 7 Piece Sample Kit to see if this is your perfect shade. Please emails us at email@example.com if you need further assistance in selecting your base shade. Thank You!
Q: Which is better for usually dry but combo skin in the summer. Jojoba base or Semi-Matte?
A: Hello Alisha,
I would say that the Jojoba would fare better for dry to combination skin. I suggest you try these formula through our 7 Piece Sample Kit to check for yourself which formula will work best for you. Thank You!
Q: On 4-14 someone asked when the ivory 1N was going to be in stock. The answer was about two weeks. Then two weeks later another person asked, and the answer was 1-2 more weeks. Do you really know when it is going to be? I'm now a couple days from being out after faithfully checking back over and over. This color is the only one I've found of yours to match me perfectly. I'd rather not have to look for a different product elsewhere, but I can't keep waiting much longer. Thanks so much.
A: Hello Julie,
The Ivory 1N Semi-Matte will be back in stock tomorrow. We can gladly check the expected date of availability for the 1N Ivory Matte. Please feel free to check back with us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank You!
Q: Hello, I used to be the perfect match to "Olive - Golden Medium" and now you guys have discontinued the olive line and I don't know which one to buy that is the closest match. Could you recommend a shade? Also PLEASE consider bringing back the olive collection and not just in the vintage section!
A: Hello Sharon,
3W Golden Beige is the closest match in comparison to the Golden Medium. You can try the shade through our 7 Piece Sample Kit. Thank You!
Q: What is the closest shade to Sandy Medium?? I hope you consider posting a guide for matching the old shades to the new shades you have come up with. I'm sure that many of your customers have invested time and money into finding the correct color and are dismayed that the shades have suddenly changed.
Q: I was trying to put together a sample kit, but it seems like some of the shades (ie. Semi-Matte 3W) are not available as a sample at all! What is the best way to determine what shade I am?
I definitely have warm/olive undertones, but am torn between 2W and 3W. I used to have a sample of Golden Medium in Intensive and Semi-Matte formulations. It seemed to be a shade too dark for me.
A: Hello Jessica,
The 3W Golden Beige Semi matte in sample size should be available in 2-3 weeks. Please feel free to check back with us for any updates! I suggest you try the 2W Golden Light, this is one shade lighter than the 3W Golden Beige. Thank You!
Q: I tried the sample kit. Golden fair 0W seems a bit too light, but very close. Golden ivory 1W and Golden Light 2W were too dark. I am definitely warm, though. What do you suggest I do? Also, what concealer would you recommend for acne? The choices are confusing. Thanks.
A: Hello Dawn,
I suggest that you try using a bronzer, this will help darken your shade without changing your undertone. You can try the Gimmee a Kissimmee bronzer through the 7 Piece Sample Kit to see if this matches your skin tone. You can try the Golden Fair Mineral concealer to see if you like this one. Thank You!
Q: Normally I use medium beige tan matte base and as a concealer I use Intensive Tan. With the new names, I can't find the perfect match. It looks like the concealer has been discontinued. Can you help me find my shades? I need my concealer in powder not in stick. Hoping you can help me.
A: Hello Kirssie,
The Medium Beige base has been renamed as 5N Tan. You can try the Medium Tan mineral concealer to see if you like this one. Thank You!
Q: Can you publish a chart with the old color and formula names and their current equivalents or near-equivalents, and tell whether they are exactly the same or only near?
It is very frustrating when one's favorite base is discontinued! I've tried every combo I can think of trying to re-create Intensive Formula in the shade Multi-tasking. Nothing works nearly as well as the Intensive base.
There are so many questions posted; a chart would be simpler and more efficient for everyone! Thanks
We put together this chart on the blog and it can be found here: http://www.everydayminerals.com/store/stories/newbies/
When you click on each model, it will tell you the shades she is wearing and it will tell you which 3 shades that we swatched onto each model's skin in order to find her foundation match.
Also, the intensive line is a shade darker than the matte and semi-matte lines and the Jojoba line has shades that are not comparable to any of those shades, each is unique and different, these shades are peach based.
We currently don't offer a similar formula to the Intensive line but you may want to try the 2C Rosy Light Matte through our 7 Piece Sample Kit to see if you like this one. Thank You!
Q: We can't find any of the yellow-ish colors anymore. And 4G seems perpetually out of stock. Can you tell us what 'winged butter' 'light' and 'honey' are now called in the new system?
A: Hello Ana,
We don't have a base named 4G, are you referring to the 4W base? The 3W Golden Beige is the closest shade to the Winged Butter. We currently don't offer a similar shade to the Honey and Light base in the Matte/Semi Matte formula.
Q: My sister and I have been constant and (extremely satisfied) customers of Everyday Naturals since 2009. I have oily combination skin and my sister suffers from chronic dryness and your miraculous products have not only been the only foundation product to look good on both our skin types but have been nourishment for it as well.
So, you can imagine our profound distress when we discovered that our HG base shades - light olive and medium olive - are no where to be found on the products list. We're IMPLORING you to please bring back your olive shade collection, they were literally our god-sends!!
A: Hello JamilaMaz,
That's fantastic that you've been with us so long - big thanks to both of you and I will let our Team know about your request. The Light Olive base has been renamed as 1W Golden Ivory and 5W Golden Tan is the closest shade in comparison to the Olive Medium base. Thank You!
Q: I was really disappointed to learn that the semi matte olive medium shade will no longer be offered on a regular basis. I checked the vintage page and didn't see it there either. I read the recommendation to try the medium tan which I have tried in the past without success (I presume it's the same shade as it doesn't say that it was renamed). Will there be a batch of olive medium in the semi matte available soon? I really don't want to have to be searching for a new brand as I've really enjoyed EM for the past several years.
A: Hello Yvonne,
Yes, we no longer have the olive medium, but I spoke to our Color Master and she said to use the Rosy Medium 4C and add a bit of Mint Color Corrector to it, that will make it more olive :) Thank You!
Q: I use medium beige neutral in semi-matte...is this identical to 5n or have you changed the formula/colour as well? I also occasionally use soft butter peach, what would be the best match for this one?
A: Hello Kristin,
You can either try the 4N Medium or the 5N Tan through the 7 Piece Sample Kit. These are the closest shades in comparison to the Medium Beige Neutral. Thank You!
Q: Hello, I am freaking out just a bit because medium olive in matte was my perfect fit! I mean PERFECT!! I see you no longer carry that color, and only see light olive. That is not my color. what is the best match to medium olive in your new line? help I am almost out and need to reorder.
A: Hello Griselda,
The 5W Golden Tan is the closest match in comparison to the Olive Medium. We also offer the 7 Piece Sample Kit so that you can try out a variety of base shades as well. Thank You!
Q: I use the shades fairly light (winter) and light (summer) in the Bare Minerals original foundation. Do you know what would be the closet shade match to these?
Also, what is the difference between the jojoba base and the semi-matte base? I am trying to figure out what would be best for my skin. I have normal to combination skin.
A: Hi Melia,
You can try the 3N Beige (formerly Fairly Light) and the 1W Golden Ivory to see if these are your perfect base matches. We chose jojoba esters for the Jojoba Base, because it creates a beautiful satin finish when applied to the skin and it also lasts longer throughout the day when one is wearing it as compared to the Semi-matte base. The Semi-Matte offers a soft dewey glow. Thank You!
Q: Hi - I've been using Fairly Light in Original Glo faithfully since 2009. It is a perfect match for me. I stockpiled it when I found out it was being discontinued, and I just ran out. Only have half a container of Fairly Light Semi-Matte until I order something new. Do any of the Jojoba colors match Fairly Light Original Glo? I have tried and used the Semi Matte in the past, and found that it was far too matte for my skin - I literally look younger with the glow from Original Glo as opposed to dull and tired with Semi Matte (and I am only 31 now!). Is the semi-matte now the same as the old when the Original Glo existed? Please help!! Also will my old faithful ever come on the Vintage page & if so, when? THANK YOU!!
A: Hello Vivian,
You can give the Shell Blanc a try, it's the closest shade in comparison to the Fairly Light Semi Matte. We currently don't offer a similar formula to the Original Glo but I'm sure you'll love the Jojoba base just the same :) We chose jojoba esters for the Jojoba Base, because it creates a beautiful finish when applied to the skin and It also lasts longer throughout the day when one is wearing it as compared to the Matte or Semi-matte Base. Thank You!
Q: I'm having trouble finding the right shade. I have ordered two sample kits and it takes awhile to get them so after finding that vanilla in the jojoba seemed ok but I think the semi matte has more coverage I ordered the semi matte in rosey light 2C because that is one of the shades listed with vanilla in the newbies section but rosey light seems much lighter and not as cool toned as vanilla. What is a good comparison to vanilla in the semi matte formula and can I exchange the rosey light for that shade?
You can try the 1N Ivory Semi Matte. You can email us at email@example.com for more info. Thank You!
Q: Hi! I've been a long-time customer, and I've used up 3 full-sized Fair Medium Semi-Matte bases over the years. I see that many of the names of shades have been changed, which should I be getting now?
A: Hi Corrine,
The Fair Medium base has been renamed as 3C Rosy Beige. Thank You!
Q: I used to use the Toffee semi-matte base, but it's no longer available. What color should I order now?
A: Hi Rosalind,
We should be coming out with the 7W Golden Bronze base soon! Be sure to check our website for any updates! In the meantime, you may want to try our new dark shades (6W Golden Almond) in the new Matte/Semi Matte formula. You can add the Gimmee a Kissimmee bronzer to help darken the base shade without changing the undertone. You can try the shades through our 7 Piece Kit. Thank You!
Q: I have drawers and drawers full of a gazillion sample shades that I had to try before I found my perfect shade and NOW you no longer make it?!?! Good grief! What happened to the olive line? I loved the light medium semi-matte, with it's very subtle touch of olive. What's the closest shade without going in the golden direction?
A: Hi CJ,
The Light Medium base has been renamed as 4W Golden Medium. Olive shades need green added, so we would recommend that you add the Mint Color Corrector to your base shade that matches closest to your complexion. Thank You!
Q: i love your makeup and am now looking at your brushes...You all have a lot of face brushes and I am having a hard time deciding what to get. What brush do you all recommend to use with the semi-matte base to provide medium to full coverage, in a hurry? I currently use a small I have the baby flat top but prefer it for my finishing dust having such a small handle made me uncomfortable when doing my actual foundation.
Thank you so much for making a great product!
A: Hi Ashley,
You can try the Flat Top brush, it can be used for medium to full coverage and it's one of our bestseller :) Thank You!
Q: I recently received the 7 Piece Sample Kit. Happily, 1N Matte Base matched perfectly. However, when I tried the 1N Semi-Matte Base it didn't look the same. It looked a bit too yellowish. Confused as to why did this happen.
I didn't receive Jojoba Base in Cream (that is being sent separately). I really need the Jojoba Base because I have dry skin.
But now I don't know what shade will fit me.
I thought once you were 1N in one base you'd be the same for all others.
A: Hi Yesenia,
Each of our formulas is very unique, therefore, the color between formulas can vary. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we could further assist you with the item you haven't received yet. You can try the Vanilla to see if this is your perfect base shade. Thank You!
Q: My summer shade was Medium Tan, which is now Golden Tan. My winter shade was Olive Medium, which was discontinued. Golden Tan is too dark & orange for my winter complexion. I was wondering how the new shade Almond compared to the discontinued Olive Medium?
A: Hi Michele,
The 3W Golden Beige and 5W Golden Tan together with a hint of Mint Color Corrector added would be the closest match to Olive Medium. Mineral makeup is ideal for mixing colors, thus creating custom colors, we even sell an empty mixing jar for this popular purpose. Thank You!
Q: Hello, my skin colo is a bit uneven (red on the nose and cheeks with some breakouts) I have yellow undertones and a bit or oiliness in the T-zone. I have never used your products so I am not sure which shade is best for me. Could you help me decide? Thank you!
A: Hi Sara,
You can email us at email@example.com and we can gladly assist you with your base shade selection. Please tell us more about your skin color (fair, light, medium, tan?) Thank You!
Q: I have been using the "It" base which has been discontinued. I want to use a base that is very light weight and looks very natural(like I'm not wearing makeup). Would the semi-matte base be the best option of the 3 bases available? Thank you.
A: Hi Lisa,
Each of our 3 Base lines are created to be light on the skin. It's really a personal preference. The Jojoba Base offers more coverage when compared to the others. But, each provides buildable coverage. You can certainly achieve the desired coverage that you need. We also have samples of each color available, so you can try out the product before making a full size purchase. Just check out our 7pc sample kit. It's completely custom. Thank You!
Q: I am excited to try your products. I have a nut allergy, and am so happy to try safe makeup. I am trying to decide on sampler colors. I used to wear Clinique Even Better Foundation in 05 Neutral. I went to have a tiny bit of Bare Minerals put on my face (not all of their products are safe for me) and she said in their line I am Light. Can you please recommend a few colors for me to try in semi-matte so I can order a sampler kit?
A: Hi Sheryl,
You can try the 1W Golden Ivory through the 7 Piece Sample Kit to see if this is your perfect match. Thank You!
Q: I am a bit confused why the colours from jojoba, semi matte and matte do not transfer over to one another? Why do all the names change from one type of base to another? I know that I am light 2N in semi matte base, but what would that be in jojoba and matte? Also, which base offers more coverage? I can't seem to find that information either. I would like to order some before Christmas, so please respond asap. Thanks.
A: Hi Jessica,
We have a completely new Matte and Semi-Matte line with a unique and easy name system. You can learn more about it on our Blog. Here's the link to it: http://www.everydayminerals.com/store/stories/new-matte-and-semi-matte-base-names/ The Jojoba bases have a different name system and they are darker than their Matte/Semi Matte counterparts. You can try the 2N Light Matte and Bare through our 7 Piece Sample Kit. All of our formulas provide build-able coverage so you can apply your base in several light layers until you reach your desired coverage :) Thank You!
Q: I'm literally begging for olive medium to be brought back, no other foundation I've ever tried has come close to matching my colour as well as it used to
Is there any where I can still purchase this shade??
A: Hi Jamila,
Our colorist recommended the 3W Golden Beige together with a hint of Mint Color Corrector added would be the closest match to Olive Medium. Mineral makeup is ideal for mixing colors, thus creating custom colors, we even sell an empty mixing jar for this popular purpose.
Olive shades need green added, so we would recommend that you add the Mint Color Corrector to your base shade that matches closest to your complexion. Thank You!
Q: Need to get new names for foundation colors. Thanks
1. I use the semi-matte in Light
2. My daughters use semi-matte in Fairly Light Neutral
3. What are the jojoba equivalents for both of these?
A: Hi Laura,
The Golden Ivory 1W is the closest shade in comparison to the previous Light base. The Fairly Light Neutral base has been renamed as 2N Light. You can try the Golden Ivory 1W Semi Matte and Jojoba and 2N Light Semi Matte and Jojoba. The new Jojoba base shades are the actual color counterparts of the Matte/Semi Matte base shades. Thank You!
Q: Hi, I usually buy the light 2N semi matte base but I think I need the next shade up, which one is that? thank you :)
A: Hi Lauren,
With our new base naming system, we have assigned numbers and letters in the base name. such that 0 (zero) would represent the lightest shade and 7 is the darkest shade. Letters C, N and W represents the undertones, C for Cool, N for Neutral and W for Warm. You can try the 3N Beige, it is a shade darker than the 2N Light. Thank You!
Q: Hi, I am starting to put together a sample kit but wish you had a retailer in MN! Nothing like viewing under a good light and a pro opinion! So, the issue to me is always the conflict between "exact match" and "improve match." You know, PERfect vs perFECT (!) My rosey- fair, rosacea- prone, blue-undertoned skin does not want an exact match, but wants to be peached up. But in a way that blends and looks perfectually natural, of course!! Is that what Golden Fair 0W would do? I hate those "correctors" with green undertones - people forget that the wrong pink/green mix can look gray. So I have heard that yellow is better for correcting rosacea. Your descriptions sound like they *might* be suggesting improve-matches, because when I look at one that seems close to my natural color, it says for light olive skin - wha? How about layering something yellow-toned over the rosacea, then a closer match on the rest? Then what about the blue under-eye circles? Have I just described a Picasso painting when I'm trying for a "natural-but-better look? I'll stop now, thanks so much. Glad I found you!
A: Hi Natasha,
Layering is the key to creating the right shade to match your skin tone. Often, women will blend or overlay 2 base shades followed up by a bronzer. Our yellow-based products are top sellers, I'd recommend the Sunlight Color Corrector. We are actually about to expand the color corrector line with more options and one of the new shades is ideal for under eye circles. As you know, we do have an array of samples available so you can try as many times as you'd like before making a purchase :) Thank You!
Q: Hi, I used Medium Beige in Original Glo a long time ago. What is it currently renamed as? Will jojoba base react for sensitive skin (since my skin itches when I put oily stuff like Rosehip oils)?
A: Hi Ayla,
You can try the 5N Tan Jojoba Base shade (a comparable shade to Medium Beige) through our 7 Piece Custom Kit to see if this is your perfect match for your skin needs. You may also like our Semi-Matte Base, it offers a soft dewy glow and it's oil free. Thank You!
Q: I'm a golden ivory usually, but it's now way too light with my summer tan. What do you suggest for me to try as my summer color?
A: Hi Lynn,
You can try the 2W Golden Light - it is a shade darker or you can try using a bronzer - it will help darken your base shade without changing your undertones. You can try the 2W Golden Light and our bronzers through our 7 Piece Sample kit. Thank You!
Q: In my last order, I got The multi-tasking neutral semi matte base concealer in the .17 oz. I'd love to get it again, but I only see it in the small size. Is it not available in the larger size anymore?
A: Hi Jennifer,
We no longer carry big sizes of concealer, they are now in mini sizes. Thank You!
Q: I need one shade darker than the Tan 5N, what do you suggest? FYI, I am pinkish in skin tone.
A: Hi Shannon,
You see, with our new base naming system, we have assigned numbers and letters in the base name such that 0 would represent the lightest shade and 7 is the darkest shade. Letters C, N and W represents the undertones, C for Cool, N for Neutral and W for Warm.
You can try the 6N Almond, it is one shade darker than the 5N Tan. Thank You!
