Q: What kind of brush is best for applying Finishing Dust? What EM brush you recommend?
A: Hello Kaisa,
Our Flat Top Brush is created to be a one-stop-shop for foundation and all over face powders, the flat top bristles allow you to enjoy even coverage and easy application as the base of the brush fits effortlessly into your hand. Thank You!
Is the Pearl finishing dust the same as the Pearl Beige powder that you used to have a year or so ago?
A: Hello Bella,
They are different. The Pearl Beige that we used to carry is a lucent powder which works great as a highlighter. The Pearl Finishing Dust is a translucent powder with a subtle shimmer that works great at absorbing excess oil and as a setting powder :)
Q: How does the Finishing Dust compare to the Poised to Perfection product? More shimmer or matte?
A: Hello Nicole,
The Finishing powder is a translucent powder that will help to give a matte look, keep the shine away throughout the day, and set your makeup to keep it in place while the Poised t Perfection skin tint is a wonderful product for the skin that range from a soft glow to matte with skin tone shades. It can be worn over your usual foundation base, or all on it's own. It offers a subtle, sheer and translucent tint of color so that the skin is not masked. Thank You!
Q: Are you supposed to remove the cover in between the top and the powder or allow the powder to come through the tiny holes?
A: Hello Meghan,
The sifter comes with a clear sticker that covers the holes of the sifter. Remove the sticker and allow the powder to lightly flow through the tiny holes. Don't remove the sifter itself - only the sticker. Thank You!
Non-comedogenic is a term that is used for marketing purposes that refers to ingredients in skin care and beauty products that clog pores. There is not much meaning behind the term. We use ingredients that can be easily pronounced, plant and earth based. We avoid using not so natural ingredients like: mineral oil, paraffin wax, petroleum, dyes, and carmine. Thank You!
Q: I usually order the natural lucent powder but you no longer stock - totally devastated by the way.. what can you recommend as an alternative???
A: Hi Sandra,
We should be coming out with a variety of complexion boosters soon (in early 2015). Be sure to check our website for any updates! In the meantime, you can try the Pearl Finishing Dust through our 7 Piece Sample Kit o see if you like this one. Thank You!
Q: This is a total novice question and at risk of sounding like an idiot please help me understand exactly when one uses this product. I know the primary task of it is to reduce shine after applying the base... so it goes base, then finishing dust, then blush and eyes? Or base, blush, eyes, then finishing dust? And only on the t-zone/where you are potentially shiney? Or like, all over?
A: Hi Catherine,
The Finishing Dust will help to give a matte look if worn over your base shade, keep the shine away throughout the day, and set your makeup to keep it in place. If worn under your base, it will act as a primer to help even skin tone and control oil without drying your skin, helping your makeup apply smoother. You can apply your blush and eye shadow after your base. You can apply the Finishing Dust as an over all powder. Thank You!
Q: I used to buy Shell Blanc and mix it because it was only slightly too warm and dark. Would 0W or 1W work for me? I´m very pale with warm undertones and my skin has an overall appearance between neutral and very light gold (therefore I mixed since now). I also get golden freckles in summer.
A: Hi Alexandra,
Yes, those shades are lighter than the Shell Blanc. You can try them through our 7 Piece Sample kit. Thank You!
Q: Hello, I am very excited to try your product! My skin is ivory and I'd like to try the Pearl finishing powder. Does it blend well on fair to ivory skin or is it more suitable for olive/dark skin? Thanks!
