Hi there! Tell us a bit about yourself and what you represent.
Hi! Well, my name is Hazel Graye and I was born and raised in the Midwest.
Minnesota to be exact. I suppose I would say I represent those who had a
powerful dream within them and the urge to fully experience life. If you believe
in your dreams and have faith in who yourself, you can be anything you want to
be. You can achieve anything you desire if you just believe you can. I know it
sounds corny, but it’s the honest truth. You CAN travel the world, you CAN work
your dream job, you CAN be anything you want to be.
How do you use social media as a way of sharing with others your life,
without letting it influence your life in a negative way?
I try not to be on social media too often. Ideally, I like to post once a day then
after my content is posted I won’t be checking into much more until the
following day besides posting on my story. Enjoying the actual moments rather
than allowing Instagram to consume my daily life honestly makes it easy to
disregard any possibility of negative influence on my mind.
When not working, what do you most enjoy doing with your time?
I love the outdoors, so pretty much anything outside. Hiking, skateboarding,
snowboarding are some favorites for sure. I’ve also just learned how to surf this
past April. Honestly just spending time with my husband, Leo is how I most
enjoy a day off.
Love your bio. What is it that you do to constantly remind yourself all that
you have to be grateful for?
I’m a pretty spiritual person so I like to meditate often; even just taking
moments in the day to myself to dedicate my thoughts towards humility and
gratitude. I’m incredibly blessed for everything I have and to live the life I’m
living, I never want to take anything for granted.
What are some things you could definitely work on?
Staying positive. It’s normal sometimes to allow yourself to get into a little rut
if you have negativity influencing your surroundings. I think at times I forget to
remind myself that everything happens for a reason and I’m just following my
path - with it comes hard times, but there will always be sunshine and rainbows
after the storm. So I definitely could work on reminding myself of this.
Where has your favorite place been, on a job call?
The very first place I ever traveled to outside of the USA was Santa Marta,
Colombia when I was 18 years old. To this day, it has still been my favorite place
to have ever traveled specifically for a job. It was such a culture shock to me to
be in a different country from my own; the Caribbean Sea was so beautiful and
the sand so soft. We didn’t have any internet connection practically the entire
time so the entire trip was quite rejuvenating and peaceful.
How do you spend a typical girls night out (aka GNO) in LA?
Honestly, my nights out are more like husband and wife go dancing. I have the
most fun on a Friday night out at the club dancing with my man. Sometimes
we’ll get together with a group of friends in which then my girlfriends and will
all get ready together before we have a nice dinner then hit the dance floor
until the early morning.
What about date night with your man?
Date night usually consists of staying in, ordering barbecue chicken pizza, and
watching old crime thrillers. We’ll share some wine and just spend some time
together usually on Sundays after a long week of working.
Describe your perfect day, what does it look like?
My perfect day probably consists of some adventure outside hiking, enjoying
nature. Then having a nice picnic lunch and enjoying the beach. Sand in my
toes, basking in the sun, a nice swim in the waves. Maybe going for a bike ride
or skateboarding on the boardwalk afterwards. Definitely ending the day riding
on my husband’s motorcycle with him. Time freezes when I feel that wind in my
Who or where do you look to for more inspiration, motivation, or direction?
I love reading magazines like Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, GQ, etc. I’ll
often times tear out different ad campaigns to keep as inspiration. Just reading
into fashion really is quite inspiring. I’ve grown up watching supermodels like
Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bündchen, Karlie Kloss, etc in magazines,
campaigns, billboards, fashion shows - just rising to the utmost success which
has definitely been my biggest motivation.
Work you would do for free just about any day...
Editorial work indefinitely. Shooting for a spread in a magazine is incredibly
humbling and also very empowering as a model. Walking by a newsstand or
even an airport Hudson store and seeing yourself on the cover of a magazine
you’ve had a subscription to since you were 8 years old is a feeling
indescribable by any monetary value. Sooo.
How do you build on your goals, your career, your purpose, little by little,
I always had this dream to be a fashion model. It’s not as simple as people may
think, there a lot of determination and hard work that needs to be put forth in
order for continuous success. I think I’ve always had this strive for more. I’m
always thinking of what I can to do expand my brand, to learn and grow more
especially with the industry being ever-changing. I never get too comfortable
with where I am, it’s important to stay open-minded and prepared for each new
chapter in life.
