Q&A With EM: Finishing Powders

With warmer months approaching, we felt this a necessary topic to touch on. Our Finishing Powders are few, 4 to choose from actually, but they are ESSENTIAL in your daily beauty regimen - and here you’ll find out why. Let’s get started.

Q: Can Everyday Minerals Finishing Dust be worn alone, without foundation, primer, blush, etc.?

A: Absolutely! Our powders are oil absorbing, and can be worn as a “mattifier” on your skin without any extra products underneath.

Q: Will certain shades only work with specific skin types?

A: Each shade is unique, being able to suit a range of similar complexions, but has its limitations to perfectly fitting all. For example, Sunlight Finishing Dust will not be as suitable on deep skin tones as Bronzed Finishing Dust would be. Matching your skin tone loosely is what makes this product such an easy purchase.

Q: Is Finishing Powder always the last step?

A: No. If you have oily skin, applying a bit BEFORE as well as after you complete your makeup look will ensure longer lasting power.

Q: I have fair skin, would I be able to pull off the Bronzed Finishing Dust during the summer months?

A: Applied sparingly, yes! We suggest using our Blender Face Brush for this application.

Q: Can a Finishing Powder be worn with an All Over Shimmer? Or is that counter-active?

A: Yes, you sure can! Applying a Shimmer over the mattifying Powder will only slightly soften the glistening glow. Finishing Powders work to reduce the oil production in the skin, without drying, and creates a blurring affect when blended well with your foundation.

Q: Which Finishing Powder is Everyday Minerals biggest seller?

A: Our basic Finishing Dust has been #1 since its first appearance!
